Nebraska’s indigent defense system relies both on public defenders and court appointed attorneys. It has recently been reported that the number of lawyers willing to take court appointments has decreased significantly in a number of counties, threatening the administration of justice in our state.  This publication was developed by the Nebraska State Bar Association, in partnership with the Nebraska Criminal Defense Attorneys Association, as a resource for counties to help inform their court appointed counsel rates.

The Bob Chaloupka Kick Ass Trial Skills Seminar, to be held at the Hampton Inn in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  All proceeds from the seminar are divided evenly between NCDAA, NATA and Trial Lawyers College.

The seminar begins at noon Mountain Time on Thursday, Nov. 4 and ends at 12:30 Mountain Time on Friday. Nov. 5.  That allows for out-of-towners to get on the road early and arrive in time for the first speakers on Thursday, and leave after the transcendent Darryl Burton’s powerful presentation concludes on Friday and still get home for dinner.  Our CLE approval is pending in Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado and Wyoming – the states where we’ve been approved each year in the past.

You can register online at https://chaloupkalaw.net/the-bob-chaloupka-trial-skills-seminar/.  Bring a friend and come to Scottsbluff in November … they are looking forward to gathering together once again for education, fellowship and inspiration in the name of a great Nebraska trial lawyer.
